
A Bit About Us
We, Brent and Dyanna are fourth-generation farmers. In 1989, we started our own farm in Alberta and after facing one too many bitterly cold winters, googled the warmest climate in Canada... bringing us to the Cowichan Valley.
After selling our farm in Alberta in 2012, we chose to "retire" to Vancouver Island. Retirement didn't last long since a new challenge was discovered. Neighbors asked if we would farm their land, so we did. As we began producing more hay than we could use, we started selling it. Realizing there was a demand for quality, Island-grown hay we put our knowledge to the test and see what we could produce.
Through trial and error, we are learning what needs to be done to produce quality, palatable hay with low sugar, as well as higher sugar, with moderate to high relative feed values. Our content, four-legged customers, and their financial support can attest to our success.
Our Analysis
We send samples from all our fields for analysis after baling. The samples are gathered from the entire field to give an accurate representation of the whole crop.
